German radio host, Matuschik apologized after severe backlash by BTS fans for comparing the band to coronavirus. The statement came after K-Pop fans took to social media and circulated hashtags#Bayern3Racist, #Bayern3Apologize, and #Racism at Bayern. The uproar left no other choice for the host except to eat a humble pie.
According to Matuschik, he did not mean to “racially insult” BTS, and the connection between the virus and the South Korean band was utterly wrong.
